Dead Days are pioneering the music industry with their new track ‘Fight’

Drummer led trio, Dead Days, struck gold with their debut album Start Over Again back in 2016. Receiving high praise from BBC Radio 6’s Tom Robinson, Rhythm Magazine and managing to get air play on Kerrang Radio. Riding on this success Dead Days are now releasing their new track ‘Fight’ from their forthcoming five-track EP All Your Lies.

The band’s sound fully belongs in the house of alternative music and they are easily making themselves comfortable in the rock genre. Influenced by bands like Royal Blood and Placebo it’s no wonder Dead Days are finding quick success with praise such as ‘great sounding track, singing drummers rule’ (Tom Robinson, BBCR6). Not only do the band have a sort after sound but hold their own uniqueness by being built around the drumming and singing prowess of Travis Marc. Along with his brother DC on bass and vocals and long-time friend James Mattocks on guitar and vocals. By putting their musical focus on drums allows the band to perfectly encapsulate the heavy, hard sound of the alternative rock genre and fills their music with a sound that is a mixture between Foo Fighters and Green Day. ‘Fight’ has a classic rock sound that would be nearly impossible to pick out as something new and unknown. The familiarity of the drum beat and guitar chords makes the listener feel as if they have heard the song before with its resonating alternative-rock sound; the band filling all the conventions.

Dead Days are a band that can cash checks their mouths write as their live shows leave audiences dazzled by their new dynamic that differentiates them from other bands in the same genre. The joint song writing abilities the band possess combined with DC handling all the band’s artwork are allowing the band to remain in complete control of their music. Something most bands lose along the way, changing their sound into something that can no longer be recognised by their fans. Dead Days have had a successful start that promises to their fans to keep up with their rapidly growing demand. Already fulfilling this promise by hitting the road this October in a full tour around the country.
