As a former chart topper on Zone radio’s top 40 charts and having his track played on Tom Robinson’s BBC Introducing mixtape, crossover artist Jake Aldridge is back with ‘Fireman’, an infectiously-hooked track that combines elements of pop with rap and R&B too.
The track opens with the luscious vocals of Lisa Ambrose who contributes her talents to Jake’s latest track, providing a memorable hook that eventually makes way for Jake’s clever rapping.
As a child, Jake never particularly had a connection with music and it wasn’t until he was 11, when his father died, that he felt he needed something to alleviate his feelings. Suddenly, writing lyrics became the perfect outlet for Jake and he quickly discovered that he was a confident rapper too, deciding to pursue music more fully.
The gods of rap play their part in inspiring who Jake who looks up to the likes of Dr. Dre and Tupac when creating his music. Produced by Ninety II, an upcoming producer from Bristol, ‘Fireman’ is an insight into the life and emotions of a quality songwriter who has a lot to offer with his genre blending style.
