For their first musical release, underwater artist Christy Lee Rogers and fellow artist and musician Ryan Murphy have come together to form alternative rock duo Bayonesse. Roger is know for stunning underwater art but she shifted her passion to the medium of music as she found it’s the most “powerful and intense” art form for her to express her thoughts and emotions.
Bayonesse will be releasing their debut single ‘Angel Touching Down’ from their upcoming album ‘Bleeding Heart’ accompanied by a dark stunning underwater music video. Filmed and directed by Rogers herself, the video brings the heart-felt lyrics to life in front of your eyes.
The music video stars actress Elisabeth Donaldson and Bayonesse themselves and edited by the award winning filmmaker Ray Izad-Mehr. All the footage is completely unaltered and un-coloured, giving the video a raw but stylised style.
Influenced by a range of musicians such as Muse, Bjork and The Kills, Bayonesse blend genres, exploring multiple moods, giving it a unique unusual sound.
