Returning with what may become a Christmas classic, Daisy Hicks is set to release her seasonal single ‘Christmas Without You’ on the 2nd December. Being the daughter of legendary jazz drummer Tony Hicks and related to international recording artist Chris Rea, it’s no suprise Hicks has taken the music industry by storm. She began her career in jazz and after being classical trained decided she wanted to explore musical genres. From here she was signed by Concept Music whereby she released her debut album ‘Mistress’, which recieved airplay on the likes of KISS, Radio 1 and Capitol.
Hicks has collaborated with multiple major artists such as Aron Friedman, Malcom Maddock, Tim Laws and Pete Craigie. This has caught the attention of many, leading to her track ‘So Much More Than Love’ to be featured on the hit US TV series ‘Pretty Little Liars’.
‘Christmas Without You’ follows a laid back jazzy style that is well crafted so to not be another cliche Christmas song. 10% of the digital sales this year will be donated to BBC’S Children In Need so look out for the Christmas classic on December 2nd.
